My husband and I have a four month old son. He is our first child so we have not been able to go on vaction but we were able to go the the zoo! We got the to zoo early to beat the heat and put him in his stroller. He seemed to like the animals he could find. He loved when I would not pronounce hippo right and would laugh. We brought a fan that would spray water and I put it on him and he would gasp for air and not breath for a couple of second and then once he did a big smile would come across his face. He made sure we had water in a bottle so if he started to cry we could just add formula to make it quick and easy. We captured some great photo's for his first ever zoo trip.

My husband has been putting in long hours at work so we can't get away as a family. Our son is 18 months and is our first child. We want him to be close to his extended family so we try to spend overnight trips with relatives close by since the kids are on vacation. Growing up around our cousins, we feel it's important that we help him establish similar bonds. It's easier driving during his nap times.

In June, my wife, my 18 month old daughter, and myself loaded aboard our first airplane as a family. Of course we were nervous about how our little one would do on a flight filled with strangers and limited opportunity to roam for extended periods of time. She did GREAT, though. We were headed out to Colorado for my older brother's wedding. We spent an afternoon playing in fountains in Boulder and an afternoon exploring the snow capped mountains and investigating elk (we went with "the elk says 'moo'"). We also got to spend some time at Red Rocks Amphitheatre...fantastic! We had a great trip and it was wonderful to be there when my brother and new sister said "I do".

I always thought that when I decided to get married we would have fun for the first couple of years, travel, buys some great toys, you know the fun stuff. But when I met my wife Alissa I got a hole lot more than I bargined for... Two Step kids a 1yr. old and a 3 yr. old. Luckly two boys, but let me tell you they are both handfuls. Nothing like just jumping in head first. And now 2 yrs. later we are expecting our third, and again its a Boy! Its funny I never saw myself wanting or needing a Baby Bag, but wow it is amazing how much of a difference a Diaper Dude Bag would make...

We did not realize how beneficial our Diaper duee bag was until our summer road trip with our 2 year old son. Were traveling on the interstate when we became stuck in traffic and wouldn't you know it he needed to pee! Since we are in the middle of potty training we used the diaper bag as a urinal and contained the liquid in the water proof section.

I need to win this bag for my brother in law! Danny is an awesome dad and 'in charge' of two little ones often because he and his wife work opposite schedules to save on babysitting costs. I crack up every time he visits and I lovingly remind him how times have changed. He shows up carrying a baby on one shoulder, dragging a bike behind him and frequently he has pink ponies, hair pretties, diapers, sunscreen, wipes and other necessities cascading out of his floral, ruffled bag. This is a guy who needs a new bag! Danny and his family probably aren't going on any big family vacation this summer...money's a little tight, but there are tons of day trips to the beach, park picnics, local baseball, feeding ducks and other adventures around town that require a 'dude bag'....I absolutely love the diaper dude.......Joanne Domeniconi

So far we have not traveled out of town this summer (we're doing a lot in the fall) but we have done a few great things with our 1 year old son. We had his first birthday party a week before his birthday so on his actual day we took him to the Children's Discovery Museum. We got an annual pass so we can go back any time. They have a great play and learn space for infants/toddlers. My son had a lot of fun here - its a great place to go to on the really hot days when we can't go to the park. This was the best purchase we could have made this summer!

This summer my son and I (I'm a single dad) took a week's vacation to Saugatuck, Michigan - on the lake. It was a lot of fun! But, my favorite out-of-town time with my son was when I travelled to Viet Nam to adopt him - that was a little over a year ago, when he was 4.5 months old. It was a two week trip, and I gained my son while on a vacation of sorts. Getting to know him and his country of birth was an amazing experience. Getting around a foreign country by yourself with a 4.5 month old isn't simple - I had a backpack diaper bag strapped to my back and my son in a carrier strapped to my front. One thing that made travelling easier was to take bottles that use liners, that way you only have to worry about washing nipples - and at the beginning of each day I'd put powdered baby formula in each bottle - and, just mix with bottled water when I needed them. That made sight-seeing a lot easier. I had a great time in Viet Nam, not just because I gained the most important person in my life, my son - but, because it's an amazing country to vacation in - beautiful in so many ways. I can't wait to go back when he's older.
