New Year's Resolutions 2008 Has Ended and the Dude has Some Thoughts on Ringing in 2009

’08 has finally ended and not soon enough. I don’t know about you but this has been a crazy year. In ’09 I’m looking forward to getting simple and you should too. Dude, this coming year is all about practicality and simplicity. If you are into resolutions, then here a few that are both practical and rewarding at the same time.
Family Time – More often than not we take for granted the very things before our eyes. Set aside the time for family dinner. Make it a point to get home in time to sit down and eat as a family. Your kids will remember this for life and it instills good values of quality family time.
Exercise – Forget about committing to the gym. You know it will only last for a month or 2. Get simple and pull out your baby jogger, grab your kid and get out together. Whether you walk or run, share this time with your little one.
Bonding time - Whether it’s a morning walk to the local coffee shop or reading a book together before bedtime. Make an effort to spend that special moment with your little one. Set aside the same time each day (or as many days a week possible.) Believe me; you’ll build a bond that will last a lifetime.
These are just a few thoughts to get the ball rolling. Have some ideas of your own? Send them my way... The more the merrier!
Happy New Year!
