I never saw myself having children. However, with twins on the way, we are jumping right into parenthood. I now find myself anxious and very excited to have children. I'm checking out all the cool baby stuff and trying to learn as much as I can about everything.

Who knew a bag could make such a difference... with my firstborn I always felt like such an idiot when I was taking care of him. Personally, I never carried a bag. My wife loves all flowery 70's things and had a diaperbag that wasn't really 'it' for me. I always felt uncomfortable carrying that bag around. For our second baby my wife gave me a Good Luck DiaperDude and I love it! People are always telling me what a cool bag I have and are surprised when I tell them it's a diaper bag. It feels great logging my kids around and the Dude makes it even better! Thanks! Bill

MY Mom bought a DIAPER DUDE for the guys to carry when we had the "princess" with us. My sister is 17 years younger than myself, that being uncool alone ,carrying around the preppy pink mothership was not happening. The DIAPER DUDE IN CAMO was so cool and Functional, that after diaper duty I decided it would make the perfect messenger bag for college. With all the handy compartments -phone holder -and cool design I actually had people asking where to get one ?? Do I dare risk the diaper day's and reveal my secret .... I reply by saying MY MOM IS SO HIP ! SHE GOT IT FOR ME SOMEWHERE?? I WILL FIND OUT AND GET BACK TO YA ON THAT!! NOW THAT MAKES THIS BAG WORTHY OF ANY DAD WITH A BABY , BY TWO -ONE FOR DIAPER DUTY AND ONE FOR YOU! John (pre-med student Dallas Texas)

There are no words that can describe how I felt the moment I saw and held my daughter for the first time. All the goodness and love in life came rushing into me that magical evening when they handed her to me. I am forever grateful for that moment and every moment my daughter has given to me since then. For the first time in my life I truly understand that each day is a gift, and the gift is my daughter. I can only dream as to what her life will bring her, but I do know this. If my daughter's life has just one moment in it, that is like the moment of her birth for me, then I can say she will have a wonderful life. I see in her all the good things from her mum and I. The honesty, love and purity that all of us wish to have and see in each other, well I see that in my daughter. Regardless of what life will bring us as a family, and regardless of where adventures in life will take her please know that I am honored and humbled to be her Dad. I thank her for putting in the last piece of the jigsaw puzzle of my heart and soul and for giving me the gift of loving her. Kaeleigh's Dad

Life after kids is so different that I can hardly remember what it was like before. When our girls call out "Daddy" at night, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else, although don't get me started on how much I miss sleeping through the night...you just can't go there - it's dangerous territory since it's so far from reality.

My son is kinda partial to mommy right now, but with a rack like that, so am I! It's really not that bad if you remember to breathe and drink heavily. So I was documenting my little man's first bath. Wow, how boring can a bath be? I decide enough is enough and turn the camera off and walk out of the room to put it down. Not three steps out of the bathroom, I hear a light womanly scream and spitting and possibly some surprised yet muddled cursing. I rush back into the room to find my sweet little boy has just pissed on his doting mother… on her face… in her mouth. Then, in a beautiful arc across the entire bathroom mirror. Quite impressive for only a few days of practice. It was awesome! I didn't notice until the next morning, as I was brushing my teeth, that this arc de pee pee ended right on top of my toothbrush. Freakin' gross. But what the hell, I've probably had worse things in my mouth… like that whore from Tampa named Scratchy! Not really… I hope that was just a bad dream anyway.

Homemade presents from your child is always a special occasion... however.... one day... I was taking care of my son while my wife was cleaning the bathroom... i got engrossed in the tv show i was watching.... my son was crawling around at this time.... and munching on crackers while he was at it.... He crawled over to me.... and put the cracker in my mouth... being totally engrossed in the show i was watching... i didnt look at what he was giving me.. all i know is that it tasted TERRIBLE!!! i immediately spit on the living room floor and look at what he gave me.... it turned out... that he had crapped his diaper... and took it off.... he dipped the cracker in the poo... and yes.... fed it to me.... holy crapness!! never NEVER ever just eat something your kids give you without at least looking at it first!... weather they made it themselves or not!

It all began six weeks ago today. My wife woke me at 3:30 in the morning to tell me that she was having contractions. I got up and started to put together the birthing pool. An hour and a half later I had the midwife on the phone telling her I could see the baby's head. She told me to get some towels under my wife and be ready for the baby. I got the towels and put the phone down when my wife said he's coming. The baby slid out and I caught him and guided him onto the towels. My wife and I picked up our beautiful son. We watched hiim take his first breath as he opened his deep blue eyes to meet his mother and father for the first time. I feel a deeper spiritual connection with my wife, and a very deep spiritual connection to my son. I am so grateful for the experience that I have as a father. Every day since has been magical and full of joy. He is so wonderful. He really is the best of my wife and me. I know that there is much to come for me in fatherhood, and I am looking forward to all of it. I cherish every minute

Well, Talk about about the perfect Father's day present! My wife was out of town for the last week for training with her job, and my in-laws, who normally keep our son during the day, had scheduled their vacation for the same week, so that left me with one thing to do...take care of Eli! Eli is a 6.5 month old ball of energy and fun. He is a very happy baby, crying only when he is really tired or when he wakes up hungry. He kept me hopping the whole week, since this was the first time since the 2 weeks after he had been born that I had been around him continuously for more than a weekend. He and I went everywhere this week: I took him to the hobby shop to help me pick out a new airplane, we went to the flying field and he watched from the baby backpack as I flew a couple of planes, I took him to some of the schools I work at (I am a mobile electronics tech for the local school system) as well as into my office to show him off. We played at home with all his toys on the living room floor, and we took naps on the couch together in the mid afternoon. We got up at 3:00 am for feedings, and diaper changes, and threw food all over the kitchen as he practiced using a spoon! I gained a new appreciation this week for all the stay-at-home parents, and found out first hand the joy of watching his subtle changes every day. Somehow, Eli and I managed not to burn the house down, we got the laundry done, we even kept the house clean during our week long "Daddy and Lil' Buddy Experience." We invented new games that kept him smiling and laughing, and he taught me a new trick about grabbing the dish towel when no-one is looking. I wouldn't trade this week for anything in the world, and I look forward to the chance when Eli and I can have another "Guy's Week." He is truly the light of my life and most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me. When my wife first told me she was pregnant, I was scared and wasn't sure I was ready for all the responsibility and "being tied down," but now, bring it on!! Eli is truly a gift from God!! Eli's Dad, Tim

one afternoon our little noah, 1 year old, was having trouble "pooping". he was really cranky so i decided to put him in the tub for a bubble bath which he loves! a few moments after the tub was full warm water and bath toys, i saw THAT LOOK in noah's eyes. before i knew it, poop floated up to the surface of the water. in a panic, i yelled out for jesse, noah's daddy. he immediately ran into the bathroom. he was so quick to handle the situation with such patience. he scooped up noah and carried him into our shower, asked me to get noah's jammies, and then did the most wonderful thing ever, he cleaned up the unimaginable mess in noah's tub. wow, what a dad!

I have been blessed with 2 beautiful children. A boy and a girl who are 12 months apart. We now have number 3 on the way, and everyone tells me I should invest in a "Dude". Whenever I take the kids I always use a plastic bag, and it drives my wife insane. It holds everything I need, but I can see where I may need to get a "real" bag with number 3 on the way.

Many years ago, my aunt made a sage observation. A child helps us realize our true capacity to love another person. I believed her, but I thought that it would take time. Nope. It's instantaneous. My children only had to "walk" into the room, and I loved them more than I could ever imagine. For three years, my life has been filled with joy, pride, and laughter. For instance, I play a guitar-based video game from time to time. Daddy likes to go overboard, thrashing around, screaming, "I'm a rock star!" Though my three-year-old daughter loves to imitate me, she made her real feelings clear a few days ago. At bedtime, I typically say the prayers, but she'll add one when the mood hits her. So, while I prayed for health and safety, she interrupted to say, "And don't let me be a rock star." What?! To twist the knife a bit more, she added, "Let me be a princess." Oh, well, I also have a one-year-old daughter.

O.k nothing compares to the incredible deep love you feel when you hold that little small alien for the first time. Seriously she was the most beautiful baby in the nursery. One of the funniest stories is when my wife was out and I was babysitting alone for the first time. All went well until she made and I realized I had no more diapers!!! I used my wifes pad with tape for the next five hours. Thank G-d my wife thought it was funny when she came home. Oh and in the past 2 years I now have enough material to write a book.lol.

My first daughter was born WAY too early. She only weighed 2 and a half pounds, and had to hang out in the hospital for 2 and a half months before she could come home. Crazy. I was compelled by this circumstance to basically do whatever my wife told me with regard to childcare. This included lugging about her ungainly, unmanly, uncomfortable diaper bags. (none had shoulder straps?!) We decided, after 4 years of rather earnest conversations, to try this whole shindig again. We were pregnant over Christmas, and you'll never guess what Santa brought me. Yeah, the DiaperDude in Cammo! I unwrapped that thing and the wife was appalled. (see, I was Santa) Screw it, she doesn't have to carry it around, and I was tired of carrying around the faux-Prada POS she had. Bright red, fake alligator skin... enough said. Our second daughter popped out right on time and fat as a German barmaid. I do get some smiles from people as I trundle about with my amazingly beautiful girls, cammo DiaperDude slung across the back. I use it as my carry-on when I go on business trips, I whip it out at baby showers when I see dad-to-be looking glum at all the pink flowery non-dad nonsense. These guys are stunned when they find out about DiaperDude. You folks rock, keep up the good work!

I have 2 biological children ages 4 and 7. My wife and I are in the process of adopting a baby girl from Ethiopia. We decided not to bring another child into this world when there are so many already here who have no family or opportunities in life. With my other 2 children I was so young and not as involved as I should have been. My goal is to make 3rd time the charm and be the involved Dad right from the start that I wish I would have been with my other 2 children. Before, I always complained and felt embarrassed to hold or carry the flowery and girly diaper bags my wife purchased. I was so glad when my wife showed me the Diaper Dude products. Finally a bag dad's can carry with pride! Plus she likes them too so they really are something we both will enjoy carrying. The camo is awesome and the way they "sling" instead of the traditional shoulder strap is even better! We look forward to taking our Diaper Dude with us when we travel to Ethiopia to pick up our little girl!

One of my greatest joys in having my first child, which is a girl, was having her toddle over to me and sit next to me during the game. We made it a routine. After dinner mom would do her thing and I would take my little girl off to the living room where we would watch football and throw the ball back and forth during the game. What more could a dad get, an adorable little girl that loves foot ball as well.

I have always wanted to be a "good Daddy" and I struggle still with what this means. However, about four weeks ago, me and my daughter, Emma, went to a doctors appointment for me. Everything was fine and ok, until I noticed Emma hiding behind a chair and I realized that the Doctor kept looking around with this, "What is that Smell?" face...So I asked Emma if she was OK, and she kept saying, "I want Mama, Daddy?!" That is when I saw it! The putrid yellow and green streak that went up the wall and then I heard Emma grunt and saw more stuff go on the wall. I felt so bad for Emma...not to mention the poor Doctor who had realized by this time what was going on. Then i realized that I had no wipes and had to ask the Doctor for some...emabarassing! I am so thankful that my wife packed a change of clothes. The Doctor was awesome and she let me clean up the room and wall and floor and chair and she set us up in another less smelly room. I think Emma and I bonded that day. Not to mention she won the next couple hundred farting contests! I can still look back on that day and think...I have been initiated into true fatherhood!

i have a wonderful 14 months young son, it's been very joyful time, i miss sleeping at least 8 hours straight but i wouldn't change it for nothing. I remember when he was just born i used to think that how much i wanted him to grow and walk so we could play together, but now i wish he was just born again, he's very active and full of energy.

I had been searching for a bag that I could carry all of my gear in for quite some time. I've gone from bag to bag to bag and everything I use was too bulky. I also found it very difficult to get to the things I needed on the fly...you gotta be prepared! After selling my fifth bag (which I swore would be the PERFECT one), I accidentally happened to find the Diaper Dude bag while doing a bag search on google. See, I'm not a parent. I'm a photographer. I found that this bag is not only hip and cool and PRACTICAL for parents, but for photographers too! ...I was also absolutely thrilled that one of the bags came in the colors of the brand of my business...pink and brown! How fabulous! People flip out when I tell them where I got my bag and what is actually is supposed to be used for! So instead of spending 100s of dollars on a "revolutionary" camera bag that really isn't...It's totally fabulous that I found a DIAPER BAG to tote all of my gear that's functional, affordable, and adds a touch of uniqueness!!

I love being a Dad of 2 - a 2 month old boy and a 3 year old girl. I can recall a story about something that happened when our 3 year old had recently stopped breast feeding. She was old enough to be talking, and she and I were carrying on a "toddler" conversation while grocery shopping. We were walking down the aisle in Walmart and she looks over at a "blessed" young woman with a tight shirt on and says loudly, while pointing - "Boobs, Daddy, Boobs!" I was mortified - and must have turned 10 shades of red. To her credit the girl just smiled and kept walking. I was too dumbfounded to even say a word. To make matters worse my daughter kept loudly repeating the word "Boobs!" while we walked the rest of the way down the aisle. I couldn't wait to thank her Mom for telling her all about Mommy parts of the body!
